So, I never thought about my belly button changing as my stomach expanded. It is amusing to marvel at the size of my belly AND belly button changes that go along with it.
Did you know that vivid dreams can come with this time of pregnancy? It has been interesting to wake up in the morning remembering my dreams and wondering what had me dreaming about THAT. One night, I was back in junior high forgetting my locker combination and then there was a dream about a foot coming out of the top of my belly (I'm sure that has a simple explanation since there's a little person moving inside of me). Sure has been interesting to go to sleep these days.
I worked at our local festival this weekend. My sorority does a booth in the children's section where children throw plastic rings to try to win a bottle of pop. The booth is very popular. It is amazing how many repeat visitors there are. Children will hand over many, many tickets to attempt to win. Geez, for the price of three tickets, they could go to the local store and buy their own! But the adventure is in the trying, they still get a prize, AND the money goes to a good cause-a low cost speech clinic in the summer. Bending over to pick up tossed rings was a bit amusing on my end. I was wishing for my Grandpa's handy grabber (a long stick-like object that can help one reach and easily pick up things). He passed one along when my sister and I visited in April and silly me laughed as I thought I probably wouldn't need one. I must admit that it is much appreciated and getting some use! C has been busy running the Rotary booth this weekend. He has become a professional strawberry crepe maker (yum) thanks to his many years of heading up the booth. : )
A little story about how this festival is connected to C and I finding each other for those of you who may not have heard-The gal who initially told me about C mentioned this nice guy she had in mind for me. Her dad and husband are in Rotary with C. She told me that one year during the festival, a storm came up and there was thunder and lightning. Festival goers were warned to take cover. My friend had small children and was doing her best to quickly make her way to a safe place. She commented that C stood out to her because he was very helpful with the stroller and instead of worrying about taking cover himself, he was doing all he could to help make sure they were taken care of first. My friend had fun passing along things for her husband to say about me to C during their weekly meetings. Little did he know that strollers would be in his future in just a few years!
