35 Weeks

So our appointment last week showed that I was measuring full-term. Now we wait to watch what my body does with 5 weeks to go. All numbers are still good (non stress test was deemed "fabulous") and the doc was wonderful at talking through all of the possible scenarios and considerations.

At a dinner last night, I sat by a retired OB nurse. She asked how much longer I had to go. When I answered "a month", her eyes almost popped out of her head. I think she was surprised given my size that there could still me a month to go! I got a good laugh out of seeing her expression.

A fun baby shower was a few weeks ago and I'm just getting a pic up from it. My friend from college made this sweet baby boy cake. We all had to laugh because just before the shower, there was quite the downpour of heavy, raining cats and dogs type rain. So everyone who came got to HAVE a shower before they arrived at the shower. I'm told many guests arrived with garbage bags containing their gifts to protect them from the weather. Guests made guesses about Baby B's arrival. Below are some of the guesses of when baby will arrive along with guesses of his length and weight:

August 11 7 lbs 2 ounces 21 inches
September 3 6:30 a.m. 8 lbs 10 ounces 20 1/2 inches
August 16 8:00 a.m. 6 lbs 8 ounces 21 inches
August 17 9:15 p.m. 6 lbs 10 ounces 19 1/2 inches
August 27 4:00 a.m. 6 lbs 4 ounces 20 inches
September 10 2:30 a.m. 6 lbs 5 ounces 20 inches
August 24 4:00 p.m. 8 lbs 4 ounces 20 inches
September 3 5:38 a.m. 7 lbs 19 inches
September 9 5:30 a.m. 8 lbs 6 ounces 21 inches
August 5 1:12 8 lbs 10 ounces 21 inches

Can't wait to find out when he will really arrive!

  1. Oh, my!

I'll put a package in the mail before I head to Montreal. I hope it arrives before Baby B!

Three cheers for your fabulous non-stress test results. And thanks for the pictures. You look great.
