Sorry for not posting for awhile. Life has been nutty and finally after getting through today, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that life will be a little more sane!
I discovered today that riding a school bus and being pregnant don't mix well. Let's just say that as I bounced up and down along the way to do a presentation with other teachers and students, I got a bit of an "uh-oh" feeling and hoped the ride would go by quickly! A kind colleague who drove separately was kind enough to to offer me a ride back AND she offered me peanut butter m & m's which made for an extra comfy ride. : )
Today was a monthly visit with the doctor. All went well and I was pleased with how much time she took answering our questions. We got to hear a little heartbeat once again which was still just as exciting as the first time. We were told the baby must be on the move as we would hear the heartbeat then nothing then we would hear it again. So the baby is still busy jumping and bouncing around!
My best surprise of the visit was that I was prescribed something to kick my ongoing sinus infection! I was a bit skeptical about whether anyone would take pity on me. After two months of muddling through just dealing with it and no sign of it letting up, last week I hit the point of just being done. I'd tried everything possible I could try but all seemed to be getting worse instead of better. I called to talk with the nurse last week and was told of some over the counter meds I could take. She basically told me I would have to just live with it. Today, I explained my misery and was immediately told it was important they give me something so it didn't get worse. I am thrilled that it can only get better from here and I am very much looking forward to feeling like myself again!
I'm just starting to feel little "flutters" of movement occasionally. It's not enough yet to be totally convinced that it's the baby but it's enough of something different that I'm taking in this new feeling and guessing that it just may be the baby!
Wishing everyone a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend!
