All is still looking good! As was said to me recently, we're down to DAYS now instead of WEEKS. Amazing.
I've been getting occasional compliments on my ankles. : ) I guess mine look good for this point in pregnancy. Not a body part I would typically "check out" or compliment when talking to someone but now I have a growing appreciation for the not swollen kind.
Along with cleaning frenzies, I find I've put my nervous energy into baking. Had fun baking cookies over the weekend and today was cinnamon muffins. C has had some baking and cooking streaks lately, too. I married a great cook and always enjoy sampling his wonderful creations.
Baby B has a pediatrician! I was pleased with the appointment last week. It was extra special that my grandma happened to be passing through so I took her with me.
Above is a pic of our new rocking chair. C put it together over the weekend. It's comfy and rocks nicely. I hope it does the trick in helping rock Baby B to sleep! I find myself sitting in it while listening to good music, just quietly contemplating what life will be like when baby arrives. C got shelves hung up, too. The longer shelf will eventually have our son's name sitting on it...big reveal coming soon!
Happy September! We're looking forward to an adventurous one...

Thirty-nine weeks! How the heck did that happen so quickly?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds and looks like you're doing great. I need to borrow some of your nervous energy and apply it to a cleaning frenzy or two here at Toad Woods. For all the time I spend using my computer, the paper-based kipple certainly stacks up amazingly fast. Jack is visiting next week, so I have a convenient deadline in place. I put a lubrication sheet through the shredder just last week and can drop off recycling tomorrow night, so I'd best get to it.
Cinnamon muffins. Yum. Congratulations on finding a pediatrician! And, yes, your September promises to be thoroughly adventurous. Wow. That brings a whole new sense of wonder to the fact that it is, indeed, the first day of this amazing, love-filled month.
