Precious Moments

Baby world
Sleep deprivation
In a time warp
Did I remember to eat lunch today?
Taking a shower or getting to the bathroom are rare luxuries
When will he wake up again?
Crying
Burping
Starting something only to come back to it again hours or days later
No time to return phone calls and e-mails
How can someone so little have so much laundry?
Zillions of diaper changes
Learning the art of doing things one-handed
Time for a nap
He's ready to eat again
What day is it?
Precious moments
Sweet cooing
Holding him in my arms
His hand wraps around my finger
He and dad enjoy a football game on t.v.
Reading stories
Singing songs
Staring at him in awe
Happy tears
Amazing support and love from family and friends
Dinner brought daily from work friends-what a blessing
Little fingers, little toes
Hiccups
Sneezes
Sighs
Eyes taking in everything
Little heartbeat we heard for so long,
now with a name and a personality
We have a son
Colin Daniel
He's really here
He's healthy
He's amazing
He's a miracle
Praise God

  1. Yes, praise God. Much love to Colin Daniel and to you and C during these first days and weeks in the time warp, and long beyond them, too.

I remember how strange time was around Gavi when she was in baby world. It lasted well through toddler world. Minutes could stretch so long they felt like hours while hours snapped and vanished in her presence.

As big as this miracle already is, it's really just beginning.

Thank you for sharing the precious moments. They are awesome indeed.
